The fundamental question ecosocialism asks of transit, transportation, and public space generally is: "What if these served people, not profit?" We envision transportation spaces as:
The Transit Justice Committee seeks to expand green, active, and public transportation options, and reduce outsized automotive influence in New York City. We differ from the non-political not-for-profits in the transportation advocacy space in that we seek to:
1. Provide power and dignity to marginalized people
2. Strike at capitalism/white supremacy
3. Offer restorative justice
4. Meet the material AND cultural needs of impacted communities
5. Have a neutral or positive impact on the environment

Please scan through our active projects below before joining us on a meeting for the first time -- meetings are short and unless we are doing a related group activity, we run through project updates at the end of the hour.
